Your plan starts the first time the eSIM connects to a network in your destination. Not when you buy it, and not when you install it, so you can buy early and lose nothing.

There is an activation window
After we redeem your plan into a QR code, it has to be scanned and activated within the activation window for that plan. Our standard window is 180 days, and a few plans are shorter. The exact window for your plan is stated on its product page.
If the window passes without activation, the plan expires on its own and cannot be recovered. If your trip is further out than the window, tell us when you order and we will time the redemption to your travel dates.
How days are counted
Day boundary
Days run on Hong Kong time, GMT+8, from 00:00 to 23:59. Part of a day counts as a full day.
So a plan activated at 6 pm has used one of its days by midnight. If you want to squeeze the most out of a short plan, activate it in the morning.
Running out of data
Some plans can be topped up and some cannot, so check your plan page before you rely on it. Once the high-speed allowance is used the connection does not cut off, it continues at a reduced speed for the rest of the plan.
