Quick Answers
The short version, before the detail.
What is a reusable travel SIM card?
A SIM card that keeps more than 100 travel profiles on it and can be given a new data package for every trip, instead of being thrown away after one holiday.
How much does the First Trip Pack cost?
HK$50, and that includes both the reusable card and one trip package of your choice. It is limited to one per customer.
Do I need to activate anything when I land?
No. The package activates automatically when you arrive at your destination. There is no app to open, no QR code to scan and no settings to change.
Will it work in my phone?
It works in any phone with a physical SIM slot. The card is a 3-in-1 size, so it fits whichever SIM size your phone takes.

How the Reusable SIM Card Works
Three steps. Then it looks after itself.
Pick your package
Choose the trip package you want from the options that fit inside HK$50. Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China or a multi-country Asia pass.
We post the card to you
Your package is loaded onto the card before it leaves us. The card is a standard 3-in-1 size, so it fits whatever phone you have.
Land and it turns on
Put the card in before you fly. When you arrive at your destination, the package activates on its own. Nothing to switch on and no QR code to scan at the airport.
Why automatic activation matters: most travel SIMs and eSIMs make you switch the profile on yourself, in the right order, usually while standing in a queue on airport wi-fi. This card does that step for you.

A Card You Keep, Not a Card You Throw Away

What This Card Does Not Do
Read this before you buy. We would rather tell you now than have you find out at the airport.
- It needs a physical SIM slot. If your phone has no SIM tray, this card cannot go in. Most recent iPhones bought in the United States have no SIM tray — please check your phone before ordering.
- It works with Tech Auntie travel packages only. It is not an open card and it cannot load profiles from other eSIM providers. The data comes from us.
- It is a data card for travel. It is not a replacement for your everyday Hong Kong mobile plan.
We tell you this because the travel SIM market is full of small print. If a card that takes any provider is what you want, we would rather you knew now that ours is not that card.
Frequently Asked Questions
What people ask before their first trip.
Do I need to do anything when I land?
No. Put the card in before you fly, and your package activates automatically when you arrive at your destination. There is nothing to switch on and no QR code to scan.
What happens on my second trip?
Your card is yours to keep, so you simply add another eSIM for the next destination. No new card and no new postage.
Can I load a package from another eSIM company onto this card?
No. The card works with Tech Auntie travel packages only. We are being straight with you about that rather than letting you find out later.
Will it work in my phone?
It works in any phone with a physical SIM slot. The card is 3-in-1, so it fits whichever size your phone takes. If your phone has no SIM tray it will not work, so please check first.
What if the card does not work?
We replace it first and sort the details out afterwards. That is true for customers in Hong Kong and overseas.
Why is it only HK$50?
Because it is a first-order offer, limited to one per customer. We would rather you tried a real travel SIM at a price you cannot argue with, and came back for your next trip.
Is this an eSIM or a physical SIM card?
It is a physical SIM card that behaves like a travel eSIM. It holds travel profiles on the card itself, so it works in phones that cannot use eSIM at all — as long as the phone has a SIM slot.
How is this different from a normal travel SIM or eSIM?
Three differences. The card is reusable across trips instead of single-use. It holds more than 100 profiles instead of one. And the profile activates on arrival automatically instead of you having to switch it on.
Your next trip, sorted for HK$50
One reusable card, one trip of data, and nothing to switch on when you land.
