Can I receive Hong Kong bank SMS and OTPs abroad?
Yes. LuckySim supports receiving SMS overseas (enable data roaming on the phone) for Hong Kong bank 2FA OTPs and verification messages.
How long does the Hong Kong MNP porting process take?
You choose the cut-over date on your form, at least three working days ahead, and number portability completes on that date once your signed form and order are received. The actual switch occurs during overnight maintenance hours (1:00 AM – 4:00 AM) so your day-to-day service remains uninterrupted.
How do I check if my smartphone supports LuckySim eSIM?
Dial *#06#on your phone's call keypad. If an EID (Embedded Identity Document) number or barcode is displayed, your smartphone supports eSIM. If only IMEI numbers appear, your phone does not support eSIM.
What happens to my personal data and identity documents after verification?
In strict accordance with Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance standards, submitted ID photos and sensitive verification files are deleted once your real-name registration and port-in are confirmed, and at the latest within 30 days if the application is not completed.
